2024 Kitchen & Bathroom Trends: Highlights from KBIS

As an interior designer constantly seeking inspiration to bring fresh ideas to my clients' spaces, attending the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas was an exhilarating experience. This year's show was a vibrant showcase of innovation, creativity, and a keen eye for design, with a predominant theme revolving around the fusion of color and fashion.

I went to the Leader 2 Leader officer training on Monday and did my best to see everything KBIS had to offer on Tuesday. I also attended the Certified Designers luncheon on Tuesday and sat with a mix of designers from Texas and Alabama. We were one table away from winning an all-expenses-paid trip to NY!

Embracing Vibrancy with GE

GE, renowned for its customizable appliances that encourage self-expression, drew inspiration from art, beauty, culture, and fashion. The brand unveiled six customizable hardware finishes, infusing vibrant colors into the kitchen space. I really love the Iris Apfel quote displayed by GE, "More is more and less is a bore." I followed Iris for years because I loved her unique self expression, vibrant personality, and creativity. We also shared a birthday!

Packed with features like Auto Sense, a built-in smart scale, voice-control capabilities, and guided recipes, this mixer sets a new standard for kitchen convenience and technology.

With its intuitive design and multifunctional capabilities, Richelieu's drawer transforms the kitchen into a hub of sustainability and culinary creativity.

Kohler's Color Renaissance is Here To Stay

The magic of nature returns with three vibrant greens revived from the Kohler Archives to expand the limited-edition Heritage Colors collection.

Kohler made a bold statement by expanding its Heritage Colors collection, reintroducing three archival green hues that pay homage to nature's timeless allure. Following the success of last year's Heritage Colors release, Kohler is reviving three nature-inspired greens, including Fresh Green (1971), Aspen Green (1978), and Teal (1987), which are now available exclusively on some of Kohler's most iconic designs.

Kohler x Studio McGee

The Kohler x Studio McGee collection combines details from the brand's storied heritage with a fresh lens for a timeless approach. The suite of products includes full faucet collections, lighting, hardware, and vanities, as well as tile collections developed in partnership with Ann Sacks.

Kohler Toilet Armrest Accessory

Kohler's Toilet Armrest Accessory was recognized as a top product for Living in Place, catering to individuals in need of additional support and for ADA-compliant bathrooms. Judges praised its seamless enhancement of safety, labeling it an essential addition to Kohler's standard toilet seat offerings. The Armrest Accessory is ergonomically designed for comfort and straightforward installation, providing users with essential features for accessible living.

The Kohler toilet armrests mount easily between the toilet bowl and seat and provide support for the user when preparing to both sit on and dismount from the toilet, plus the arms easily raise up out of the way when not in use.

Thompson Traders: Where Artistry Meets Functionality

Thompson Traders showcased an array of breathtaking sinks, tubs, and range hoods that seamlessly blend form and function. Their sink, designed with AI, heralds a new era of intelligent design, while their Pappy Van Winkle barware collection adds a touch of sophistication to any space. With a focus on artisan craftsmanship and familial camaraderie, Thompson Traders left a lasting impression on attendees.
